Mikko Heikkilä has retired from WRC Rally Italia Sardegna due to an accident. The TGS Motorsport crew is OK, but can’t continue the event on Saturday.
Skoda pair of Mikko Heikkilä and co-driver Kristian Temonen have retired from the WRC Sardegna on Friday. Heikkilä’s third event of the season was cut short on SS2 due to a roll. The crew is OK, but won’t continue the event on Saturday.
Competing in Sardinia for the first time, Heikkilä’s rally was cut short by a wrong pacenote, proving to be impactful for the event.
-Our pacenote was slightly wrong, and the car slid wide and we went off. I’m gutted, and there’s not much to tell about this trip, Heikkilä lamented.
