Mikko Heikkilä is fifth in the WRC2 category after Friday at Secto Rally Finland. The TGS Motorsport Skoda driver wasn’t happy with his performance on Friday, and the aim for Saturday is clear.
Mikko Heikkilä and co-driver Kristian Temonen are fifth in WRC2 after the first proper competition day of Friday at the Secto Rally Finland. The Skoda driver is 21,3 seconds behind the leader. Heikkilä isn’t happy with his Friday.
-After the morning loop I felt like the times were not that good, but our afternoon loop made the morning feel like a good drive. We lost too much time at the second pass, Heikkilä lamented after Friday.
For Saturday’s eight special stages, Heikkilä aims to up the ante and close the gap during the 142 special stage kilometres.
-The tight battle for the lead here isn’t a surprise for me, but unfortunately we aren’t quite there yet. We need to figure out how to gain more pace especially on the second passes of the stages. Tomorrow we have two fast and familiar stages for me alongside new additions Leustu and Parkkola. Fine stages for sure, we keep pushing, Heikkilä said.
Secto Rally Finland is held between 31st of July and 3rd of August in Jyväskylä, Finland. The rally consists of 20 special stages and 307,22 special stage kilometres. The rally is shown live at Rally.tv streaming service.
